lukey 1,621
Rusty you're talking as though these were his best lifts, he was repping those deadlifts and doing back flips after every rep.So? If he uploaded a video doing 5 press ups then a backflip or taking a shite then doing a handstand would that be impressive?. I had a look n saw him deadlifting 242 looking more natural than he does now with no cartwheels and fair enough that's decent. But you asked the question and a guy that size lifting crossfit plates doing bicep curls under water and deadlifting 220 isn't impressive. It's good but not amazing. These are his static lifts when not doing the gymnastics according to the www... Squat 340kg Bench 233kg Deadlift 373kg Basically strong as fcuk then.....As I thought really. Like you said earlier he wasn't even trying in some of them clips. He was nowhere near maxing out.I haven't been working out nowhere near long enough to get near those lifts tbh. I've never tried my 1 rep-max on any lift really but I'd get closet to his deadlift out of all the 3 as it's the more natural lift for me.If you can get close to 373kg deadlift well done. Not being a dick that's impressive. That's f**k all. Lad at my gym just done 500kg. LolWorld record holder then.....Yep No the same without a back flip after it though is it?? Impressive ???? Gaz_1989 9,539
Very impressive Eddie, I wonder who is the best deadlifter p4p....Well Eddie weighs 26 stone so in theory a man 13 stone would only need to be lifting 250kg to match him. There are some strong little fuckers out there. I've never been strong for my size. It's weird, I'm very strong at work and when I mess about with people I throw them about like a ragdoll but I'm far from impressive in the gym although I've never pushed myself to my full limits. Tbh I train haphazardly and have only been at it less than 12 months and don't have a diet. I've got that real world strength I guess, takes time and consistency to master the gym strength... Yep 2 different things mate. My old man is as strong as an ox. He has worked in engineering for 35 years, lifting machinery, moving steel etc. He's naturally a big bloke and when we were on family holidays people would always ask him if he was a weight lifter or rugby player. He moves lumps of steel that I can't budge, undoes threads that I can't etc. Yet when we mess about with weights on a bar he doesn't come close to what i can lift. A lot comes down to technique.I was thinking of using a PT for one or two sessions to watch my form, not easy doing that when you train alone.... It might be worth doing mate. Last thing you want is injury due to bad form. I'm a massive fan of properly warming up and stretching off aswell. So many don't bother, you see them rush in and straight into the weights. I've had my share of injuries and learnt the hard way. If you drop on a decent gym with good lads you will soon find out if your form is any good as they would be over and tell you if it was crap but some of these commercial gyms just get packed with idiots who don't know their front delts from their glutes. Greyman 28,363
My mates around 16 stone not an out and out gym lad, but naturally very strong , and there is a vid of him on the net some were doing a 450 kg tyre lift, which is quite impressive but don't know we're that stands in the overall strongman side of things

Lol Tbh even most of the lads that look well don't really have a clue and do so because of certain chemicals they are on. I'm not saying for one minute they don't train hard but the effects of gear is massively underrated IMO....

Hydropotesinermis 724
The really annoying thing about this video is I don't remember giving anyone permission to video me in the gym.... And I had a stinking hangover from drinking a firkin of ale the night before.

Not sure I agree that his lift is "nothing special" P4P. But I know what you're getting at. What sort of weight are you and what are you lifting?

I'm currently about 72kg and pulling 210 for 1 or 200 for 3. I've failed on 220 more than once. The WDFPF 75kg world record is something like 260kg! Now that is one strong b*****d! I know you're joking. But honestly there will be thousands of people p4p stronger than him or bjornson or Shaw etc in the powerlifs. Those boys are something else when it comes to just max strength though. I'm really not bragging or knocking the man, just simply trying to show that p4p isn't what I would consider him excelling at.

Born Hunter 17,763
Pulling them weights at 11 stone (ish?) is bloody impressive mate. Fair play. Deads and all types of pull ups are about the only things I'm even close to decent at. Ask me to over head press or swim 100 meters and I'll embarass myself. Lol. I half follow a few amateur/pro powerlifters so maybe I'm biased as to what I'm seeing folks lift. Got an old uni mate who's 82kg and pulling around the 300 mark. Thats 3.6xBW!
Born Hunter 17,763
https://youtu.be/Z2WAgwkXwmg I think this fella is IPF combined total world record holder! Strong fecker no doubt but on the subject of strength I'm more drawn to the lads that maintain a lot of gymnastic ability too.
DogFox123 1,379
I weigh around 106kg and never tried my 1 rep-max incase I fcuk my back up. I've been working out sporadically for just under a year but always had quite a bit of muscle mass all my life. I still don't know if I'm doing all my lifts with correct form but I think I could piss 250kg plus deadlifting.
