Barrell Kennel

Recommended Posts

Lads im going back to barrel kennels, had them years back, got one of a fella, an it lasted me years, tryed one meself then, it was alright, could have been alot better tho.

So im going to source two brand new barrels an make two good kennels, dry, durable, an they last, piss easy to clean.

Anyone else using theses if so, could you pop up a few pics, thanks?

I used the blue barrels , I think jigsaw done thread on them while back, some have problems with condensation ,I never did, I used them years ago when I had dogs outside ,

I had them lying down for lurchers but for terriers some have them stood up.

Drill 2 holes near top n bottom in line with each other ,screw 2 blocks of wood going across as feet.

Then I drilled hole halfway along the lid,get a jigsaw do straight line across lid then going upwards follow curve of lid,so there's a semi circle opening for dog to get in an out but not drag bedding out with it.

Make sure you rinse out well and air them a bit before putting dogs in just incase there was something stored in them that could irritate them
