Gaz_1989 9,539
Nipped out with the 120 lamp tonight off D. Lloyd. It's certainly my favourite of the 3 that I've got (100, 120 and 150.) It is very bright and the beam is tighter than the DL100 but not as tight as the 150. Somewhere in the middle I think. Dog followed the beam sound although I only gave her a few runs so haven't properly tested it by any means. I've got a video which I will upload when I work out how to do it, that's if it turns out any good. I will give the lamp a proper review when ive had a full night with it in a few weeks as I've currently got one leg in a cast so struggling to get about... I can confirm that lamping on one leg isn't much fun. Lol. But we got 2 for the pot... 2 Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Yeh I'm well happy with the 120 D Lloyd. I will do a proper review when I'm up and about with comparison pics and a video of dog running the beam etc. Richie I aren't sure what the battery life is. I'm sure someone said an hour? The video doesn't seem to have saved properly. I'm just plugging my phone into the laptop now to see if I can sort it. 1 Quote Link to post

flipbull 1,139
Couldn't you just fully charge one and leave the light on continuously (at home) and see much run time you get lads? Quote Link to post

You could but you risk overheating the LEDs and circuitry. It's easy to calculate if you know the wattage of the LEDs and what amps the battery is. An hour doesn't sound a lot but depending on your lamping style you should get a few hours out of it. I'm gonna look at fitting a bigger battery to the 120. Quote Link to post

I'm gonna look at fitting a bigger battery to the 120. What type of battery are they gaz and how much is a spare. They contain a 2600mah 7.4v lithium pack made up of 2 x 3.7v 18650 cells. The packs are cheap to buy. A few quid from China or Japan. It's getting a bigger pack that can still fit inside the handle that would be the problem. I've found a 5000mah pack but it looks too big. I'm gonna look at ordering some more powerful high drain 18650 cells and make my own pack up. I will then see how much longer I get out of it than before. I will time it in 5 minute stints. 5 minutes on 5 minutes off. So in theory it will take 2 hours to drain the battery doing it that way. 1 Quote Link to post
