Hi all when I was growing up I heard stories off my dad and his friends bout George Kelly bout his dogs etc

Has anyone ever met him got pics or stories of him and his dogs

I heard of him through somebody else back in the late 80's , I nearly bought a blue whippet from him.

never met him, but going back 30 years when had me 1st lurcher , his beddyxs were popular back then, and some reckon he was bit of a character lol

Yeah you're right there fdr. Some real good fellas around back then, but not that many. Now you can hardly go for a walk without seeing at least half a dozen lurchers or running dog of some type. And I've got to say it, in those days, even though I'm a tad nervous as to whether I should write this, for fear of nasty reprisals, .............. but not a bull x to be seen! lol .

Just kidding lads, I don't actually mind them as much as I make out lol

Yep lol, some of the worst 'save the whale' and every mammal in britain etc enthusiasts I've ever seen, are now ambling around the place with dogs that are literally crying out to run and kill something! Bizzare lol

Got my first lurcher pup from george...i was only 13 at the time but he seemed a nice enough old bloke
