Wolf coursing with Borzois.

Recommended Posts

This is not a thread about hares, and its no good trying to make comparisons, its about whats on that video, show your wife it, show your daughter it, tell them that this is what you believe in, then put your head down in shame.

I have hunted all my life, my father was a hunter, and his father before him...thats not hunting for gods sake, it solves no useful purpose what so ever, apart from blood lust of all the people involved.

doxhope whats that pic under your name?

Deerhounds killing a wolf

seven deerhounds killing a wolf and your judgeing them

Aye but it hadnt a rope on its legs, mind we extracted its teeth, smashed its feet and poked its eyes out first..Only 6 deerhounds, one was a first crosser

This whole topic and the comments on it is typical of why hunting with dogs is banned. Frowning on other forms of hunting, not sticking together etc etc. One thing the antis did was stick together!

And i though hunting got banned was because people thought hunters actually supported baiting and cruelty like this :hmm:

At the end of the day no form of legit hunting involved baiting, especially the same poor animal time and time again. If the deerhounds flushed and caught the wolf, i dont have a problem with that, same with fox, deer, bunnies or bloody moles ffs.

Completely different, no comparison at all to hunting.

But as always to try to win a discussion lets call people who dont agree...antis

where dose it say the wolfs a pet?

When was the last time you saw a person walk up to a wild one in the presence of men and Dogs, put a rope round its neck and its stay there cowering on the ground? :hmm:

Im VERY surprised at what some are calling "hunting" on here. I did NOT see any hunting of any description, I saw baiting, plain and simple, a cowering pathetic sight, a once wild animal, being chased while still subdued (on the rope) the short distance it could manage before a bunch of Dogs and Men surrounded it. What was "sporting" or "hunting" about that? Those Dogs were full coated adults, they would be fully accustomed to hunting by the time they appear to be in that video, it was nothing more than a bunch of ego maniacs taking fun from a captive animal and repeatedly subjecting it to the same thing time and time again. :censored:

Why are people comparing it to Fox hunting? When was the last time any of you saw a Fox being dragged around on a lead like that, then treated the same, only to be surrounded bayed at, then taken back again and again for the same thing to happen? I think I have been missing something, because in the last 18yrs of hunt supporting and working dogs I have NEVER ever witnessed such a thing, they arent men in that video they are cowards, cant blame the dogs, its not their fault they are just doing what dogs do, but those "people" should be ashamed of themselves!

Thats what there training those dogs to do and what you condemn them for! Hunting.

you think thats hunting and you acuse people like me of exaggerating its the like of you with your stupid ideas on hunting taking all measures to get a dog going and misconceived morals on cruelty that got hunting banded by putting illogical reasoning to an obviously cruel practice and then try to compare it to coursing hares with muzzles that generally cannot be caught and i dont know maybe you have to make it this easy for your dogs to catch something but i dont they either have it or they dont when would even a wild dog get anopportunity like that im off lamping wild game take care ............ :feck:

If a boulder is chipped away at for long enough it doesnt take long before you have a small rock. Thats what happend to hunting in this country. Hunting badgers, stags etc etc went first soon that boulder will be nothing but dust and distant memorys!
