Terrier15 52
From my limited knowledge - ducks don't have a 'crop' as such but the esophagus can expand in order to store food. When my chickens have a lump in their crop i massage it until it goes down, often it's a lump of long grass that begins to ferment and produce gas. If it's very hard and the bird looks ill then hold it upside down and rub the esophagus until whatever it is comes out through the bill. Not the nicest but will save the life. Hope this is if some use, just speaking from experience, Ed
