Guest tawny
right then. do you terrier boys on here think you'll have a better chance,of getting a worker out of big name lines ,like nuttal, gould ,middleton or say plumber, than you would from say,dai smith from down the road ,whoes dug all his life, ugley dogs ,never win a show,or young nick from ???? who walk's the hills every day ,who kills a few and yet his dogs are crossed with mrs jones jack cross fromm the next street down ? what do you think Quote Link to post
Guest markbrick1
i would rather go with with mr smiths line then the others who are bred for money only, mark Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WORKER THEN GO WITH THE LOCAL BOYZ WHO WORK THEM HARD YEAR IN YEAR OUT FORGET NAME THEY DONT MEAN DIDLY SQUAT Quote Link to post
Guest bitsa lurcher
i have a nuttal bitch off the old lines she does what i ask of her , i've also had terriers from " the ugly breeds " and don't see that there is a difference , having said that a lot of people will say that the big names have bred anything for money and spoilt the lines ...... so my advice would be if you are in the market for a terrier pup then make sure that you see the parents working ... if this is not possible then at least try and find someone who has seen them work .... also never mind the looks because you can't see a terrier underground ..... harddigging 42
worker over worker for as many generations as you can remember is the only way to edge your bets with terrier pups no big names no good lucks to think about just workabilitty Quote Link to post
JODYFOXHUNTER 0
I think a lot of people who call their dogs named lines in their blood maybe have a brothers uncle three generations back that once shagged a named sisters friend.. what i'm saying is what % of nuttals or gould etc are actually 100% line blood.. not many i bet not knocking the lads who have spent a lot of time and thought into getting good lines just mean that for every one of you there's hundreds thinking they've got a pure dog but haven't Quote Link to post
