DogFox123 1,379
He won but he ain't no Mayweather of the UFC. I suppose it is harder in MMA to stay undefeated as there's more disciplines involved but the sport is all about being the best all-rounder. Grappling with someone bigger than yourself is donkey work, got to be the fittest athletes on earth imo. Edited August 21, 2016 by DogFox123
arcticgun 4,548
Just watched it not my cup of tea but both very hard lads for sure, I prefer Diaz but there no taking it away from mcgregor he an intelligent fighter with a heart too back up his mouth, he worked out Diaz from first fight and hung in to win given one more round I think Diaz would of finished him for certain he soaked up everything mcgregor had too give People speak of mcgregor fighting mayweather I doubt he would last three rounds with floyd Best mma fight I've seen yet but still can't get into it, both my lads watched it live and really enjoyed it
j1985 1,984
I hope Diaz does what McGregor has asked and comes down to 155lb for any rematch. McGregor will demolish him at that weight. I'd say it's a lot harder in losing or gaining weight for a big guy to fight at a lower weight than vice versa. Anyone who's ever bulked and cut will know that especially if the weight hes used to fighting at is his natural weight as when you cut for bodybuilding etc you've packed on a serious amount of size before hand and even then cutting sucks where as cutting from your normal weight would be awful. You'd be a hell of a lot weaker! Well done McGregor tho, always liked him even with his cocky attitude.
gnasher16 30,465
I thought Mcgregor showed massive heart and poise in not panicking when under pressure.....towards the end of the second it looked like it was going the same way as the first fight and Mcgregor showed great mental strength pushing weight like that and knowing you have hit a man with your best shots and not moved him with half the fight to go is a daunting task but he stuck in and deserved the win by taking the first second and fourth rounds in my opinion. Personally i think a third fight at a lower weight McGregor would stop Diaz. Edited August 21, 2016 by gnasher16

Phil Lloyd 10,738
Set the alarm for this one..... Loved the atmosphere of the fight, but always feared for Magregor,.it realy was a nailbiter,... I wanted him to win ,..but always felt that if Diaz got him on the mat,..it would be end of story... Conor seems to tire at the extra weight,...and when he is facing a tough cookie like Nate,..the ring ain't the place to get puffed out
Moja 111
Think he fought a smart fight, and deserved the win.. Both tough fellah's fair play!
Silversnake 1,099
Well done McGregor! Close but deserved win imo. Diaz very tough with excellent wind, a tough opponent for anyone. For McGregor pushing weight and coming off a big loss last fight is a huge achievement! RESPECT!!!

DogFox123 1,379
Arctic Floyd prob wouldn't last long with Mcgregor at UFC / MMA rules Khan saying he'd fight Mcgregor both codes but wants boxing first In other words give me a big payday at my game then I will make a excuse at yours for it not to happen Mcgregor should tell the pair of them my rules first time around Boxing for the re match Yeah right cos Conner would be in the driving seat against Mayweather... Poacherspocket 189
No boxer will win a fight with mma rules even if theyve trained on the ground for a bit against a pro fighter. If floyd or khan came at greggor and he decided to sit down on the floor what the f**k they going to do they will have to engage him. Or even still if he runs full tilt at them and grabs them its good night for the boxer
Astanley 11,580
I know amateur boxers that would beat the best mma fighters in any boxing match ...and second rate mma fighters that could beat world champion boxers in their discipline ...two separate sports its silly trying to match them up like comparing rugby players to football players .
