Some of you lot have got some serious skills with cattys

I use an air rifle to hunt rabbits and, even that takes practice to get the sort of shot placement in that picture.

I've tried using a blackwidow and 9mm steel balls at a 15yrd target - I'd need a shit load more practice before I could even think of hunting with it.

Nice shooting

. First thing id say is get yourself something other than a black widow, proshot blood sport, or a flipping out scout, are two very good starter cattys, both of them take flats or tubes are ambidextrous and can be held in many different ways, which will allow you to find your own style, before you invest in a single style shooter, also the black widows take all your effort holding the elastic tight which causes hand shaking and movement so you don't get time to learn your aim and anchor points properly, in air gun terms it would be like a gamo or smk against a hw 77 or air arms pro sport.

Thanks for the tip - the airgun analogy helps.

I keep looking in on this bit of the forum. I reckon I'll have a good look round, invest in a decent catty and, try again.

......... it would be good to be able to take a few opportunity targets when I'm out walking the dogs :)

Thanks pal ya well practice is everything for this I've been shooting since I was a kid on and off but I've put a lot into my shooting with a catty in past years now. Get the right set up for you specifically and you will be flying it's not about the catty it's about the shooter and the bands/ammo most important in my opinion. I don't aim a slingshot I shoot instinctive that's what works for me I wouldn't hit a barn door if I aimed for some reason . Need any help just ask man anytime I'd be happy to help drop me a pm.
