Making A Start

I had a day on the fells with my pup and brothers beagles. Was a good hunt, walked about 11 mile. Wasn't warm at all and was a cool wind, but was plenty bracken and cover which does my head in this time of year.

Just having a quick rest on this pic...

Can't beat it. I love mooching this time of year. It's lovely to be outdoors, we have enough of being soaking wet and freezing cold in the winter so I like to enjoy all of the weather this country offers. Whenever it offers it.

 

We are just in from a nice mooch with the kids. No rabbits were harmed in the making. Lol...

Yeah was good gaz, 4 beagles and my pup having a good hunt on the fells. Feels good to be back on them having a ratch about. Was good watching my pup hunt alongside them, had a good workout and learned loads I feel.

Wasn't too warm for us, I had 2 jackets on haha but beats being soaked through with ice wind cutting through ya..it's a different world when ya nearly 2000 feet up, the weather changes all the time.

Look forward to seeing some pics come season. Shame Fuji isn't on here any more. A lot of lads loved his posts and especially his pics.

There's odd ones try to bump their dogs up but majority just like sharing their outings with like minded folk. My dogs are shite and most wouldn't kennel them but they're mine, they keep me happy and I like seeing other lads posts of a similar nature especially lads bringing kids up in the field like myself. Can't beat it.

exactly. I never said anything about bigging dogs up. Post was made to see who's started who hasn't not about bragging rights or bitching. Hardly anyone on here posts days out or nights out anyway. I did a few times and I'll be doing same this year. Whether I catch one rabbit or ten
