kyboy44 11 Posted August 20, 2016 Report Share Posted August 20, 2016 Ok I had a guy I was talking to come up with this we know the German bread points were used for birds and fur both and we got to thinking we had heard of dogs being used to track furs to the den's for trapping season this is the idea we had if you got a pointer use to playing hid and seek and fatch with the furs we were going after mostly beaver muskrat mink skunks and welsel could they be dependent on to work a track to the den and go on point to show were the den is like I said this was just a idea we had so feel free to tell us if we are nuts Quote Link to post

kyboy44 11 Posted August 20, 2016 Author Report Share Posted August 20, 2016 I don't know about the fiest because you don't hardly see them anymore but wetterhoun is a bead that I have never heard of but they seem to be a dog that was used for the same family of a lot of the animals I go for if anyone knows anything about them I would love to know like how they hunt I seen they are in the gundog group do they hunt like a pointer or do they flush or do they track and bay or catch do they run quite until they see the game or do they open up soon as they have something do they work in a pack or just one or two together and lastly do they track otter and polecat to their den's or find them in the open thinks for the help Quote Link to post
