Was walking the hedge row last night and we passed a rotten old sheep been there some time. I noticed the dog veering over to it and could see he was thinking roll in the shite time. So I intercepted him just as he got there and told him to sod off. He made a pretend move to walk away then all of a sudden snatched a mouth full of rotten fur threw it as far as he could dashed over to it and threw him self on for a quick rub before i got to him yet again.

The barsteward out foxed me again  Made me laugh how he threw it and then dived on it for good old neck rub before i could get to him

Dogs should be allowed to express their natural instincts. :tongue2::tongue2::tongue2::tongue2::tongue2: It's all part of their drive/release of energy. :tongue2::tongue2:

I have resigned myself to buying doggy shampoo and an outside mixer tap attached to the hot water. When I'm rich I'll invest in a doggy shower cubicle in the kennel ..., oh, and one of those super doggy drying machines.:laugh:

I'd rather have a dog make contact in that form with sheep rather then the alternative

When a dog is stimulated he has to act which can take many forms , it's all just an urge to make contact

When my father was taking out a young dog introducing it to cattle , he had no problem with the pup ingesting their shite , ingestion grounds the feeling of stimulation produced in the pup by the sight of them
