South hams hunter 8,922
At what point does a bull cross stop becoming a bullcross?, quarter, eigth, sixteenth? Then surely its a cross of whatever else is predominantly in its breeding with a bit of bull? These bull cross regular daytime hare dogs, what proportion of bull was in them? Cheers, D. because it's fashionable unfortunately they don't. Some dogs contain 4 or 5 breeds and the owner says they're a bull cross. Imo a bull cross should be bull and sighthound only and at least a 1/4 bull 3 Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
Most lads that I hear, stop calling them bull crosses when they are crossed with something else ie collie Saluki or deerhound for instance. Usually call them Saluki/grey x bull/ grey as example . I doubt fashion has much to do with it as bull crosses have been about longer than a lot of the lads on here Quote Link to post
Somewhereyournot 1,117
Maybe not fashionable but most people put bull x as a selling thing. 1 Quote Link to post
roybo 2,873
I can't say I have seen much of that .most would just say what the parents are. I had a litter 2 years ago ,my bull cross to a coursing dog ,I called them bull grey x coursing dog. I've recently had a pup out of a bull grey to a bull grey I'd say they are bull crosses Quote Link to post
