As have many others.The main reason the Bull bred lurcher receives the amount of flack it does is because of the feckwits and nuggets that own them,use them as a status symbol,hunt in a manner the majority find utterly repulsive,breed out of dross throwing names about like confetti and slabber on like a second rate fisherman and his catch.Ive seen my share of very useful bull bred lurchers,lurchers whose owners have little in common with,with many that own the breed.The minority of feckwit bull x owners are responsible for the majority of dross bred,finding a decent un is a task in itself,yet they are certainly out there and well equip themselves in the field and the honest folk about get decent service from their charges,honesty that is lost on many and the Bull x owners don,t hold a monopoly on that,Saluki owners took over .Id not own another lurcher even 1/4 bull bred,firstly there are better options about that are more useful more often,secondly i don,t have the hunting lifestyle that a good Bull x excels at.

Ive recently welcomed another grand-daughter into the world,thus for a few weeks im into my mellow zone,ill be back to my normal self as soon as the novelty wears thin.

The bull x is not for me but from some I have seen the good can be very good. The trouble is the wastage of litters and the amount of dickheads that are drawn to this cross because they look like "beasts" some of the dogs don't actually pass as lurchers to me. Most are too heavy to be good all rounders as to catch the quickest prey the dog has to be fast. Its a real shame for the lurcher world because there are too many poor example of the bull and there are too many nibblers breeding shite with shite.

I think that's a fair summary of how bull crosses attract the wrong sort at times ,possibly the sane crowd or types that done it for pure pitbulls.

It's also highlights the difference in what people want or need from a lurcher .

Thankfully there is room for all and these days I would gladly keep a lurcher that has a good dash of bull or none at all as I think there will be work for either.
