Give your head a shake, an innocent man who for all we know doesn't have a clue about dogs was savaged to death. Not everybody can be John Wayne, the guy who owned the dog is the real simple c**t.

Most people would piss there pants, if the same happend to them, see plenty of big hard nuts melt when it come on top, unless you have been in a simular situation, it's very had to comment on what you

I'd try to save my pet. Gut instinct. I'm no soppy cnuts with animals in general but my dogs have always been family.

Some rotten comments here

I think I would instinctively do the same too.

but would you do it to a point were your being mauled by another dog, i wouldnt

No mate, I would run off, swing it round and smash it against a wall, or knife it when given the opportunity.

it not about being the big man ffs, the man should saved himself or some of the bystanders should helped him, but i know one thing it wasnt worth it to save his wee pet

You havent pointed out were I was gloating dave, show me please.

So cause this man didnt try an save himself, he deserved it, is that what your saying?

How the feck was he to know it was going to turn on him?

So answer me this, if you were walking your dog, an another dog tried to kill it, youd stand there an let it, ffs dave

yeah an rule number one is save yourself, the yorkie should got lashed up the street
What, do you think he just threw his dog to safety and decided to give up on himself??

it a bit like the man killed in a field with the bull last year, he was saving his dog too

You talk as though he had all the time in the world to decide what to do, I'd try and save my pet if it was getting attacked.

I can't believe that so many people watched this and done so little to help the guy. I'm pretty sure that armed with a kitchen knife I'd have made short work of the thing.

deff mate, put it in behind the elbow , right into the heart , one dead dog , like with all vermin

Reading through the article it does sound like a lot of folk were keeping out the way and didn't fancy getting involved. I could understand if it was a grizzly bear. Hard to say how you will react in these situations until they happen mind. But poor fella :(

He "declined the chance to stab it".......that was silly.

I think it already had hold of his head by that point,he probably didn't know what was going on.

Although he did report the dog,not for being dangerous but for being a banned breed,so..... at least a touch of karma involved there.

Would you still say that if the dog had killed one of your children?

Of course not,but anyone who grasses on someone for having a dog that fits the DDA's 'type' (I didn't see any claim it was dangerous before hand) deserves a kick in the bollocks, obviously not this.

Maybe 'irony' would have been a better word than karma.

Maybe he thought that the snarling staff that was running around while he was walking his wee yorkie (the staff that ended up killing him btw) was a dangerous dog?

I'll read it again later, but I thought it said his yorkie was aggressive to the lab x leading to them falling out.

some c**t comments in here .

All the talk of fighting back etc . People are different everywhere . Some are soft as f**k , never had a fight in their life and avoid anything aggresive . So if they got attacked they would probably freeze and cower . He probably decided to try save his dog as he most probably would have thought he could get away or maybe just get bit . Doupt he thought his head would be bitten and his kneecap ripped off. For whatever reason the dog has killed him . And all it takes is for somebody to have told this bloke it looks like a banned breed for him to grass the bloke up worried about his and others safety

Im not saying the bloke is blameless but their a line between being a dickhead and grassing him up for the dog and having his life taken in a horrific way . The people who witnessed it should have done something but again you dont know their situation . If someone came knocking on my door asking for a knife and i had my 2 kids in the house watching TV id rush over and tell the kids to stay put but i dont know if i would jump in with my kids in the house. My mind would be about keeping them inside the house .

Also people being at home doesnt mean their dossers without jobs . Ive been home for 2 weeks holiday and walking my dogs during the day .
