slip lead 862
Never had the sense to run fella, always stood me ground and took what was coming. Sooner take a beating than the shame of leaving a mate behind.
ftm 3,357
there was a big fat twat on an estate near me with 2 german shepherds and he took liberties with people out walking dogs and he used to scare the young'uns from his area . well one night after being on the piss we got off the metro a stop earlier than planned [cant think why] anyway as we walking home whos standing there at end of a "cut" -fatty & and another lad and his 2 dogs -a remark was yelled by one of us regarding fatty and he set his dogs at us -full of the brave juice I just waited and booted the 1st dog as it ran at me it turned heel and ran straight back to owner the other was biting my mate so me and another lad laid into it and it f****d off , fatty & his mate weren't to pleased and it was decided his mate wanted to fight me -I was always game as f**k with or without drink and kicked the daft twat all over the place -lost me f***ing watch somewhere along the line lol -good old days
Rabid 1,936
Firstly RIP the poor bloke who died The twat of an owner should be prosecuted. The dog should be destroyed The police should be investigated for not acting The bystanders need arses kicking for standing watching. A little story, many years ago when I was a head strong twenty something 'I can take the world on', I had a pet rotti, she was the best dog in the world and I adored her, she was faultless in ever way, she came to work with me every day, one day on the farm a couple I knew popped in to see me, they had a pet business, and they were looking after someone's dogs, they asked if they could let them out on the field, and I said sure so long as they were OK, well long story short three dogs came out, and they were proper wirey looking brutes, all excited and running round in circles, just then my dog came round the corner all happy like, and these three dogs went for her, it was a blur of flashing teeth, now don't get me wrong, my dog could rough it with the best been a hefty strong young rotti, and she went back at them, but it was a numbers game and within seconds I knew it wasn't going to end well for my dog, I never hesitated, I dived in and started rucking the three dogs, Christ they were powerful (I had handled some big strong dogs) I got proper messed up, so did my dog, but as true as I sit here I killed one of the dogs (not sure exactly what I did, kick/stamp or what) my dog managed the better of a second and had her pinned, and I was beating the living day lights out the third who was going at my girl, eventually the dogs all broke, I was sweating, then realised mostly it was blood, my blood, I looked at my hands and they were shredded, I could see bones where my fingers should have been, my arms were pissing blood, my clothes were ripped to pieces, I grabbed my girl and she was soaked with blood and exhausted and we just sat in a heap on the floor, the couple had got the two remaining dogs in the car now and came over to us, all apologetic like asking if they could do anything (think I may have said get my gun !) then the pain kicked in, I had until that point never felt pain like it, and thankfully never felt pain since like that day, I couldn't move, I was literally sitting there bleeding to death and in too much pain to do anything, I had an ambulance called, and got word to a farmer to take my dog to vets for treatment. I was patched up and went to see my dog who surprisingly wasn't near bad as I expected, but I was in a bad way for a couple of months afterwards. Now anyone who knows me will confirm I ain't no soft twat, and I ain't no little bloke either, 6'1" and hit the scales around 19 stone, (not a lard ass fatty either) I done plenty in the ring legally, and not so legally, and also outside the ring, I have always managed myself and was pretty fearless in those days, but them dogs proper messed me up, it lasted maybe 3 or 4 minutes, but another couple and I ain't convinced I would have lasted, I still have the scars, mentally and physically, but a dog on the attack is a force to be reckoned I can assure you, however, something clicks in your head and you just don't think about it, you get stuck in, older and wiser, I would probably grab a bar, or fence post, or whatever was to hand, but I know I would still go in if it was my dog getting a beating, same as if it was a mate, I couldn't sit back and watch, that's just me and what I think of things, but I also know how horribly wrong it could turn out. I jumped in thinking I will sort them out, but truth be told, they nearly sorted me, do I regret doing it, NO, would I do it again, YES, only I would possibly look to find something to arm myself with first as I know how fast and aggressive it can get bloody quick, it surprised me. So please, unless you been in this situation, don't judge, don't say you would do this or that, cos you honestly don't know until it happens. The dogs in question turned out to be a dingo cross something, (can't remember what) so not massive in size, but mean and powerful animals, God only knows if they had been any bigger !

I was down the beach last night with my dog working on him around other dogs as his a pain. Fine if they ignore him and mind there own business we can pass them fine. His not nasty just loud. I had him on a lead about 10 feet keeping out the way and practising recalling him back if he wanted to go see a dog and going great. But there was dogs belting around every where off lead and the beach was packed. In fairness there owners new the dogs were 100% sound with people and dogs so just let them do there thing. I wish mine was like that. But they weren't under control. A couple of collies chasing birds came blasting my way and ran into me and mine accidental so he kicked off then thinking they were going for him. Pain in the arse. Anther chap had a couple of lurchers off lead and there were stuck to him like glue now they were under control. Edited August 19, 2016 by terryd

Anther chap had a couple of lurchers off lead and there were stuck to him like glue now they were under control. My dog doesn't really like other dogs when he's on a lead , think he feels a bit vinreable or protective and barks and is a bit of a pain . His ideal walk is with no other dogs or dogs on leads walking and ignoreing him . Hes fine like that. Took him to the Welsh game fair last 2 years absokutly no bother. Dogs there are on leads and don't care about other dogs so all's good . Quite a few times in the past I've been walking the local common or sports fields with him on lead and the shear ignorance and twatishness of some people winds me up . I've had spaniels bolting up to him at 100mph and dancing around him with the owner in the distance blissfully unaware where their dog is . As soon as the hear him bark and see him start rearing up on his lead they give their dog a call and it runs back and they get back to their txt messaging or whatever. Yeah cheers for that , my dogs all stressy now and if your not bothered about your dog you soon would be if mine was clamped round your dogs head . Other people just assume because theirs is "fine" that it's ok to let it run around doing whatever it wants like obsessivky sniffing my dog or dancing round it or coming right up to him and barking in his face so I have to pull him out of the situation . If that was me I'd be mortified and would apologise unreservedly but most don't give a shot and your lucky to make eye contact with them . My little rptweiller cross is ace off lead Nd and squeak from her ball and she's straight back . Whenever we see other dogs or people anywhere , be it beach, common , field mountain its a quick squeak . She comes back. She goes on her lead . When we're away she's back off . f***ing hate people sometimes My dad has always Saud since I was a kid "The more I hate people the more I like dogs"
bird 9,872
its the warm weather , that you get more dog attacks. Not so much that the heat effects which it does, as dogs get irritable in warm weather =over panting, restless etc .It's more because people will be out with dogs than normal, and doors will be left open at properties , and dogs will get out ,and if aggressive then the attacks happen. .Any dog can bite, but some breeds need to be kept on leads guarding breeds, bull breeds, when out by joe public, if the owners did this it would save all these terrible things that happening now . i've been doing alot bike riding this last 2 weeks with my new bike, and its all on main roads, but you go past farms, and all farms have open access to the front of there property , you hear the dogs barking , and your always twitchy when you ride past, just incase the bllody thing come out at you, and most times its collies, gsds, labs ,jacks, that farms keep, as these breeds all will guard
