Just ring em, it's better that than have em turning up.

Trust me it's a tricky one!! Seconds thoughts I ain't ringing nobody now he's said don't worry about it...was poaching it years before I got permo on it and never had no agg.

The vast majority of the permission i now have was land well known to me and a multitude of dogs beforehand, entering the land now may not hold the same sense of adventure perhaps. I no longer need to switch off the lamp or hide behind a wall or in a ditch,at the first sign or sound of interruption.I walk about now like Lord Fecking Muck and hunt inhibited. Its far less exciting, yet more productive and easier,i like easier now.

If the landowner has asked for something, and you want what you can get off his land, then suggest you do as he's asked.

I have a teeny weeny bit of land, back home. Only since I came on here did I realise that 'permission' was a signif thing. I know that if there's anyone doing something I don't want, on my land, (only a coupla acres) there are people who will have a little word.

(Maybe your new permish landowner probs has the same?)

If you respect the countryside, and peoples rights over their own property, p'raps have some respect for the person who owns the land in question, and stick to what they've asked. Or maybe don't take the job?

Just my opinion.

You're squeamish and won't touch a dead rabbit so your post on a hunting forum doesn't hold much weight. Lol

Hey you've got me there. Don't wanna touch a dead rabbit, don't wanna touch a tumoured brain either. Am a total cissy. Still, grew up rural, and own a bit of my homeland (thanks to my husb's tireless graft). Buy my meat from local butchers / game dealers whether here or back home. Am just as entitled as you or anyone on here to have an opinion on hunting. Really didn't want to fall out with you because I've loved your archived posts on training your dogs and loved your rabbit pie recipe, but seriously!!!?!

Never really had permo, spent most of my life hiding from plod on dark nights. Been stopped by plod at night and told 'I can lamp, just let em know i'm coming on'... I never did, never trusted em BUT i've always thought back, maybe they'd just rather know and leave me to get on with it.

I know this much, its permo you got, good local permo. And you've been asked yo rung em. I'd be on the phone to them feckers 5 days a week to 'let em know'.. They'd probably think your some jobsworth freak and soon get tired of that and probably give you a wide berth...

if the permissions worth it you will phone and get a job number , i do it for one they ask you all stupid questions got feck all to do with lamping . And even phoning them the armed response still turn up and when you quote a job number they say they never tell us so why bother ?> but never give them your mobile number they store it and call you months afterwards " are you at such and such a bit ?" no i told you that contract was just for three months " oh we will send a car round then . Honestly ive got on great with the cops but the civilian operators are as thick as fcuk
