lurcherman 887 13,091
I always gut them in the field but never skin them tbh less messy all round in my opinion , their in the chest freezer for a few weeks then and then let them thaw and cut into two some times three and that's the terrier sorted for a couple of days, I don't feed the lurcher them never have always worried the fuckers will start eating they're catch in the field Fed my pup a few and when ferreting back end of last season he began to run off with them and bury/hide on the hedgerow. Never fed him any more and hes had his first on lamp recently and brought it strait back ? i think would be better to feed with out jacket on to the lurchers. Atb Quote Link to post
Guest vin
jackets on..gutted and frozen..dogs love em frozen this time of year....like big furry ice pops. my young dog has been eating them like this since she was a pup...she's never run off whilst out lamping/ferreting and tried to eat her stash.
