Alan... 172
Hello barbel anglers, I'm primarily a pike angler in the winter but i would like a session or two on the barbel, something special about this fish. Looking for somewhere within 3 hours of Kent ideally. I know how fishing works I'm not after your secret swims and tacics, but would just like some information, I usually find my fishing spots on Google maps but travelling 3 hours to find a private land or no fishing sign isn't my idea of fun, knowing how often this happens. Day ticket waters or just somewhere I can park close to the river will be fine, I'm not after record breakers just want to get a bend in the rod, my local rivers don't hold many although barbel fry were introduced a couple of seasons ago. Any help appreciated, Cheers, Alan. Quote Link to post
Alan... 172
and of course if anyone wants to swap a day on the barbel for a day on the pike I'm happy to do that 2 Quote Link to post

Alan... 172
I fish through Tonbridge east peckham etc never hear of much coming out on the barbel front, I know the rivers to fish but its knowing where abouts on them you can fish/is assessable, ideally want to turn up, pick a swim and wet a line rather that drive for a few hours then spend another few hours looking for somewhere fishable Cheers Quote Link to post
