GruffaloGriff 1,859
Firstly- Mods this is not craft related so shift delete as you see fit, posting here as the lads here are familiar with my contributions to this section of the forum. My sister in law has been undergoing intensive treatment for leukemia over the last 10 months, she was only 30yrs old when diagnosed. My boss is doing this 24hr non stop cycling event for cancer charity Clan who were a great support to her and the family over the last year. They specifically support cancer patients & families who live remotely and live too far from the treatment hospital to commute daily. I will be cycling with him for a couple hours tomorrow (Friday 12th Aug) for support. If anyone is interested in the story or would like to donate here's the link. Thanks https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Marty-Flett2

GruffaloGriff 1,859
Well Martin & William completed the 24hr challenge despite Gale force winds on Friday & Heavy rain overnight! Martin cycled 286miles in 24hrs! Don't have the totals on final amount raised but between online Justgiving, cash on the day & raffle tickets it looks like they will make their £5k goal. Thanks again to all who donated. A couple of pics of the event. 7hrs in me doing a bit of support riding with Martin. 12hrs in more support riders with Martin William & Martin on the finish line after 24hrs non stop! In the Clan tent 10 min after finish A well earned pint!!!!

GruffaloGriff 1,859
That some going . Bet that will be te best sleep they ever have You would think so but his legs cramped up as soon as he fell asleep so he jumped out of bed and danced about the floor until morning. He got sorted with a one and a half hour massage from a sports injury specialist, ok after that.
