I have never seen a terrier injured using a t bar and I think everyman should have one incase when out on a dig incase the box fails even if ur terrier is mute it can still lead you to ur terrier in the end if known how to us the bar correctly. Let's say collar fails how and what technique would you use to get ye terrier out.

Anyone ever used one of those drain inspection cameras on a rescue ?

One of the chain stores ,Lidl or Aldi, is selling cheap ones for ,I think, around 50 quid.

I always wondered would having one in the vehicle just in case they'd help in sand or rock to find a mute or dead terrier or even dead quarry ?

Would they be strong enough to push through sand in the event of a collapse ?

We use them in work neil for checking joints in the pipe line.it fits on the end of a cobra you would be able to push it through sand/human shit lol but would struggle with dirt and rocks mate.you can get the ones that fit on a hydraulic air hose and it travels the ducts-used them when I was cable laying for BT think it's called a mole?.atb dc

Yes, I've heard of taping a transmitter to sewer rods to locate a terrier before but the camera would give you a little bit more info, especially finding out what exactly went on. In the case of a collapse you might even be able to dig the other side of the collapse instead of digging down into it.

For 50 quid if you had to use it once in a lifetime but it saved a terrier then it'd be worth.

I'm no gadget geek but I'd use anything to save a terrier, and it's quarry for that matter.

My mate got one out of lidl for ferreting he says it ok the camera is on the end of a bend coil thing so you wouldnt push it through sand or mud but you could prob tape it to a bar to push it through

I have. A Stanley. One bought at Screwfix i think , used for work. But now stays in the van at all times, its got a metal lined. Probe very flexible about 1.5 metres long, the brightness and resolution adjustment is very good can be a usedull bit of kit on an awkward or dangerous dig jmho
