Only one came from abroad I don't mind good kit, whats the point in anyone working their arses off if they're not gonna enjoy the fruits of their labour? I bought one of those isotex 5000 today on eBay based on recommendations. I'm still holding out on the boots just yet Quote Link to post
Dead Eyes 681
I'm pleased with what I've got A couple can tell you if it's from good stock or not There's a couple more on here that saw the bitch, and while it may or may not fit down a hole you can ask them if they *thought* (and that's all it could be at the moment) it will be capable of doing a job Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Neil ,can you explain the importance of a finding bar .Never owned one ,never will but I know lads who won't leave home without one. 1 Quote Link to post
Mary 352
A finding bar probably became less important with the introduction of technology(box and collar), but was a vital tool in its day, ferreting and terriers, I still bring it and use it occasionally, I was brought up using it and old habits die hard. 2 Quote Link to post

neil cooney 10,416
Neil ,can you explain the importance of a finding bar .Never owned one ,never will but I know lads who won't leave home without one. I brought up the subject on finding bars to try and start an arguement, LOL. I hate the bloody things..................and I own 3. They're the most over rated ,over used tools. I argued against them on a topic on here before and it looked like I was the only who doesn't use one. Lads spend a small fortune on a locator and then sink a bar hole to be sure to be sure. Very silly. 1 Quote Link to post
pablo esc 1,598
Why? Not if the use it properly and listen to the dog or thumping Quote Link to post
Rabbit Hunter 6,613
Do you mean sink a bar hole to break through to a tube Neil? I think thats a stupid idea also. It fires the game up and gives the dog unnecessary greif whilst youre digging IMO. 2 Quote Link to post
Mary 352
Not that stupid to have one in your kit if box or collar fail, (technology has a tendency to fail now and then), or you could do like some on here and let a 2nd dog in, I'd prefer the bar. 3 Quote Link to post
