Have you seen Man Bites Dog? It's about a serial killer with a documentary film crew, in the film he comes across & kills another serial killer with a film crew! Haha....

 

It's a Belgian film, over 20 years old now, but well worth a watch.........darkly comic, but equally disturbing.....

there was a documentary on this some years back, the mind of a serial killer, you are born with it, they took MRI images of a normal persons brain, and then of a serial killers brain, it was clear as night and day with the results, there was a part in the brain, ( i can't remember which way round it was ) if this area was connected, you would kill, or if it wasn't connected, you was normal, but it's something you are definitely born with....

I think they are born. Look at those shits who killed poor Jamie Bulger. The trouble is in the old days any sign of odd behaviour would have been beaten out of them. Nowadays they "need help".

 

The only reason these people should be kept alive is so we can perform operations on them without anaesthetic to see what makes them tick.

I think kids are different, I think they lack empathy across a spectrum but even the nice kids at 15 don't care about anyone else but themselves. I still cringe at the stuff I did as a kid.

I don't think you can conclusively come down on either side or the nature or nurture debate with regards to this. We are all somewhere along the spectrum of human behaviour. You might find a majority of these killers grouped somewhere in the same patch of it but theye won't be alone in that group. Most people in the same place as them won't end up being monster's.

It seems it is genetic, notice how not all psychopaths are criminals despite their condition. Maybe external factors such as their upbringing pull the trigger and turn psychopaths into monstrous killer's....

It could be a state of mind that damaged people retreat into.

 

Both of my grandads were ex-infantry ..........

 

One is quiet and reserved, he told me not to join the army when I left school. He's very rarely spoken about his time in the army.

 

The other (rip), was a right character. He was one of the first people to have plastic surgery at Stoke Mandeville after being shot in the face.

He said the best times of his life were in combat.

 

I never did join any of the forces but, I've often wondered about those two.
