Alrite lads I'm any one on here ever have a dabble on the Ebro?

I'm looking at booking a trip next May/June but don't want a package I want to wing it and hire a boat and find the fishing myself.

I'm struggling like mad to find info out as most places want you to book an inclusive trip up.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated or pointers towards any known guides I could boo for a day or two also.

Gary Sheridan , carp dream fishing I think it's called , top guide . If you google cat fishing Ebro Caspe he will come up .Been at it quite a few years and very helpful .My best cat was 168lb with common carp to 35lb . The year before I went out 4 mates landed more than 25 over then ton in four days ..might be worth a couple of days with a guide to gain a bit of knowledge before going native ...it's a bloody big river to try pot luck with ..whatever you will enjoy .

That's the plan, find a guide have him for a few days and then fish of the back of what we've learnt from him.

I've done the guided tours before to other lakes and rivers and i find it feels a bit stale after 3 days of someone rowing your baits out and landing fish for you.

Sheridan could well be your man, he's up around Caspe where there are some huge cats ..I did four days with him and your right about going a bit stale , that said we did land a lot of good cats which is what we set out to do , along with some big commons to 41lb .when I go next time I'll do a couple of days then wing it for a few more and see what turns up .

You could always fish in thailand, probably cost you the same price as a euro trip with the current euro exchange rate, lots of big hard fighting cats, carp etc.
