They don't come about much. Maybe for good reason. You could get a terribly mixed litter.

 

The closest I've seen was the dam to my brindle bitch she was a half cross deer/grey bitch lined with a full whippet. She was a cracking stamp of dog. Looked like a 23" strong whippet. Had the deerhound temperament and would tackle anything.

 

If they threw right you could be onto a winner but I can't see anyone putting a whippet over their working deerhound anytime soon.

Post in the lurcher section for a better response but I've never seen anyone on here running a deerhound X whippet.

 

How many have you seen? Are you in the UK?

 

Realistically you've gotta find a working deerhound bitch. Then find one what's had a few seasons under its belt. Then find one with an owner who's willing to put a whippet over it.

Here is a litter I bred 14yrs ago and would recommend she was a doxhope 1stx to a whippet dog all dogs made 25tts and all bitches were 23tts and very fast and strong.hope you find one
