Nobody mentioned injury. I've been running my red bitch since she was 12 weeks. She is 18 months now and walks funny. She like hops along on her front legs and sometimes drags her back legs behind her. Any tips? I've tried Manuka honey on her joints but that doesn't seem to help. 4 Quote Link to post
arcticgun 4,548
Running a dog before its fully grown poses a risk, running one in the middle of summer, well that speaks for itself, it's too hot the grounds too solid but at end of day it's up too the owner 1 Quote Link to post

trigger2 3,137
Mine hurt him self at 7 months just a freak accident but it taught me what damage they do if they are go for gold merchants. Its very tempting mind to get a couple under the belt but now the pup has done that I would keep him safe till end of the season as far as lamping goes. That is just what I learnt my self anyway. Nice looking pup you are going to have some fun in the future What cross is he trigger ? hes a malinios bitch X lurcher Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Gaz / trigger what do you look for... when running pups so young ... gameness / running style...ect I look for stamina. If they can manage 10 rabbits and 3 hares at 12-14 weeks then they will be half decent dogs. 2 Quote Link to post
