Stud Dogs

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Looking for a dog to use over my bull greyhound bitch, she's 7 years old now and just retired so looking for a pup out of her next time she comes into season, ideally I want to use either a racey type bull greyhound, a saluki bull greyhound or a whippet greyhound, the dog must 24 inches or over, and 100% singl handed I will take other crosses into account bar from anything with collie in, nothing against you lads that run collie crosses there just not my type.

Thanks atb

whats your bitch seen and doing ? and why she retired at 7 ?

She's seen everything mate, that's not me bullshitting anyone that knows me knows I don't keep shit dogs, shes retired at 7 because she no longer does the job in the same fashion as she use too, shes still as game and as tough but she's a lot harder to get fit, to keep fit and stiffens up much easier nowadays Iv also got a young dog up and coming ready to start middle of the winter

If this bitch has had a good working life the chances are she would of took a lot of knocks over the seasons which eventually takes its toll on there running/working ability and not all dogs can keep it up!! so to carry on working and watching her punching her guts out when she's clearly struggling and then to be lyed up in the kennel for days on end is only something a fool would do..

put a proven deerhound x over her perfect combo in my eyes

I'm looking for gameness, speed and stamina, I know what your saying about a deerhound x but there few and far between I live in the same town as plattsy and no disrespect to the man but I would never use his stuff, like I said though I will consider other crosses so thankyou for you input, wouldn't mind using a Bedlington greyhound Iv had decent ones myself but again there few and far between

It's nothing to do with the way this site is ....how can you have an opinion on a lads dog you know absolutely nothing about ? You can't give a number when a dog is retired

No mate she's 3/4 grey 1/4 bull but quite a heavy set type, not got a bully head but quite a bully body not the prettiest bitch by all means but she knows her job, far from the hardest dog Iv had but I like her work style and I think adding something into her could produce some decent stuff
