I've never had a 95 but, I have tried a couple of things in my .22 TX ....

Tinbums short stroke kits work well and I didn't find them expensive.

They make the shot time a little faster. I found that this helped improve my accuracy.

At the moment, I've got a light weight piston with a longer latch rod and, a Maccari seal. The stroke is a bit longer than with Tinbums kit.

I also put the steel tophat and guide back in.

It's shooting around the mid 11s with a nice quick lock time and a dull thud

My advice would be to have a play yourself - a good strip, deburr, clean and regrease can make it start to feel better. You'll also get to know your rifle.

Unlike a lot of you lads, I sent my TX off, as I`d end up with more nuts and bolts than when I started, ( I am no gun fiddler :icon_redface:)

Anyways it came back vastly improved and it did not cost much to be done professionally.

My TX is now an "outstanding" springer. IMO

Without licking ya poo ring, that rifle wouldn't of done f'k all with someone behind it pulling the trigger...

Dont think thats all the rifles work there is what Im saying.

:)

As an extra, you think you could of shot that many birds when it was standard? I think you probably could of done to be honest. You did your research and got in the right place and the right time.

Back to the OP, Ive got a V-glide system in my own 97.

Expensive though but I can assure, its only as good as the shooter...

Wank sometimes then.

All kits are like that, if you cant hit a barn door, you still wont hit a barn door with 1k of options running in the rifle.

Tsk !

Well if I tell the truth Mac, my freezer is under the camo` - " honest"

But I`m sure you`ll agree Mac, since the tuning of my "Rexy boy" I needed a " fecking big freezer" :boogy:

It happening once, - maybe.

It happening twice,- lucky ?

It happening three times and more ?- matter of fact I`d have thought.

But do remember this is a few hour or so forays put together.

The results, (for me) are an improvement on the gun and me.

Anyways, as said, back to the OP.

Whatever you do get a kit that fits the spring. So if you intend to buy a kit without a spring send the spring off to them to machine the guides exactly (I.e. Tinbum tuning) or buy a kit with a spring supplied.

I've had 2 tbt kits that were not a good fit for the factory spring. Not dissing tbt as he will machine the guides bespoke if you send him the spring.
