'Ask' it nicely to walk on to a bit of leaf or something then place it tenderly in the undergrowth: not on a nettle or anything spiky or stingy. When I told him he got really excited and reminded me that we're going to see Wales vs Japan in November...until I pointed out it would have pupated by then.
