Digging/walking Boots

Recommended Posts

After 3 seasons of heavy use on my current boots (lowa) I'm on the lookout for a new pair.

I'm thinking about getting a different make, although the lowas are a good boot they are a heavy boot as well. I'm looking for something maybe a bit lighter and more comfortable.

What I've been looking at are Zamberlan and Dedito. Does any of you guys have experience with any of the two? And if so, what's your views on them?

Ive had my meindle Dovre for only about 5 years and their starting to leak!! I feel well ripped of, so I'm gonna buy some seal skin socks and get another five years out of them.

I've had 3 good seasons out of a pair of meindl dovre extreme gtx. Can't fault them really.Every pair of leather boots need constant treatment to keep them supple and stop them cracking. I'll probably

3 seasons is very good from a pair of boots I would say

They have done well if I'm honest, they have been well looked after also.

I've also been looking at the haix boots but I've heard mixed reviews from a few different people

The pair I have now are haixs boots, they have been OK for the price, although the sole only lasted a season, they let water in through the sides and are still not worn in even though they finished.

Just had a look on the hanwags website and the brennans look like a very good boot but they only do them in a wide fit and I've got narrow feet. The tetra top looks a good boot also, so I think I'll look into getting a pair of them.

both me and the wife wear Haix Tibet boots on the farm. They are narrow fitting and a little solid in the footbed, but very comfy. I have had one pair nearly 3 years now and they have stood up to everything. Mud, sh#t, grafting, never leaked and very strongly built. I even got the lace hooks caught in a length of sheep netting being rolled out/dragged by a tractor on a fencing job. Dragged my 17 stones 70 yards across the field and never made any impression on them. It didnt even bend the hook. Well worth the money
