Unisex Changing Rooms Agree/disagree

I used to go swimming a lot when kids were younger, I must admit I prefered unisex changing rooms most usually had a couple of family changing rooms as well when you have more than one kid with you,in my opinion its easier instead of me going alone into womens changing room with the kids and dad having to go into the male changing room. We made a point in going to swimming pools that had a unisex changing room it was easier , but never seen anyone not using a cubicle in the changing rooms thank god some things should not be on show

My point is theres more protection an safety, in segregated changing rooms, its far to liberal, an with sex offenders an paedos lurking, its a big nono for me.

How is it any different you still get changed in a cubicle, whatever sex changing room it is. So how would you protect your daughter when your in a completely different area?

Do the cubicles have doors if so what's the problem ?

rusty the problem is the pervs taking pics over the top and under the cubicles, but a fair few have been caught by other swimmers and the victims didn't even know what had happened, then when busted the police find lots of similar images in their houses, take away the access and there's little chance the pervs can get what their after

Wonder how often they go swimming themselves though

 

There is a good few to many perv's going about , but staff in the pools and camera's around it kind of make it a bit safer, there are plenty of cubicles they all have doors and most lock . years ago when I was a lot younger there were no doors just a curtain yes things were safer then or was it ? think there was probably still loads of pervs then to just wasnt recognised or highlighted way back in the day

I think public places like swimming pools are pretty safe these days and off course you should always talk to your kids to make sure they understand how to stay safe, but not scare them for they can still have fun.

Same sex changing rooms wouldn't stop paedos looking at young boys though.

 

Wouldn't a simpler solution be to make the cubicle partitions floor to ceiling?

See when I took my kids swimming myself I hated it when they started getting older cause from the age of 8 my son had to go into the male changing rooms by himself and I could not keep an eye on him, and I couldnt go in and check on him if he took a while coming out, so I guess it can work the other way around to eh .. plenty of weirdo's out there that like wee boys too

So no women are pedo's then? And what about your son? Would he have to stay home because he'll have to get changed with men?
