johnrthrfrd 223
After losing my 2 best ferrets one to old age and one to the bloody bedlington terrier my young Jill had her Kitts last night the father is the son of the old one so hopefully he has passed some of her genes on as she was a cracker time will tell. 1 Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
All the best with them mate. I had a bit of a line going a few years back. It was all my own stuff and one other lads stuff and they were throwing really consistent. Nice size and very keen workers which all started at a young age. A few decent ferreting lads had them and they all spoke highly of them. I f****d up basically, season before last I wasn't doing much so let a couple go and just kept 2 back. Then lost them both in the space of a month due to separate freak accidents. Long story short if you get a decent line, keep them close and look after them. Luckily a mate of mine has got kits on the ground from one of my Jills so fingers crossed I will get something back. 2 Quote Link to post

Just had a quick look when I fed her she had 6 but 1 was dead there was a few lads wanting Kitts off her so there is going to be a few disappointed as I want 2 Jill's and my mate who the hob belongs to wants 2 hobs pity there is no offspring from the albino that the dog got but the lad I got her off had her spayed so hopefully there is 2of each so we get what we want . 1 Quote Link to post

max abell 196
It can take years to build up a decent team of ferrets all to have em nicked by some thriving scumbags it happened to us about 10 years ago years of selective breeding gone over night We managed to get most the bloodline back through mates and gamekeepers etc where the bloodline originally come from but it took a few seasons to get a team of ferrets back we are happy with Hasten to add our ferret courts are now hard wire alarmed we have cctv and security lights it might seem a bit over the top to some but we are not prepared to have all our hard work and ferrets you get attached to taken by some low life's that could go and get there own for a couple of quid or even for free so why do these ar##holes do this Quote Link to post
