Poland legalises medical cannabis: The Independent

Epilepsy, nausea caused by chemotherapy, chronic pain and symptoms of multiple sclerosis are among ailments that can be treated
Polish pharmacists will be allowed to treat people with cannabis after the drug was legalised for medicinal purposes.
Under new regulations that came into force on Wednesday cannabis from imported plants can be processed at Polish pharmacies - as long as it has been logged with the country's Office for Registration of Medical Products.

Pharmacists are already prepared to make the drugs, according to the Polish Pharmaceutical Chamber (PPC).
It added that specialist training would be available if necessary, according to Polish national radio.

A spokesman said: "Given the fact that there are nearly 15,000 pharmacies in Poland, an overwhelming majority is authorised to make prescription drugs – that’s around 90 percent.
"It is estimated that up to 300,000 patients could qualify for medical marijuana treatment."

The new laws will allow cannabis to be used to treat a wide range of ailments.
They include epilepsy, nausea caused by chemotherapy, chronic pain and symptoms of multiple sclerosis.

I might be completely off the ball here, but do not you think our political climate at the moment is far too fragile for something so radical? I still think we could be a long way off anything big, a change in priorities & less convictions yes, but the days of dispensaries are a far off reality?

Maybe we could actually use the eu human rights against the gov for a change, i know hear me out lol.

If we grew our own herb in our house, for medical uses, an the scum busted the door down, surely we could use the human rights legislation against them, i mean look at all the countries in europe that has legalized it for that purpose, im sure with a bita savy an the right solicitor you have a chance?

Thoughts please

Yea I think your right , at present our politicians are struggling too maintain there 'own personal' future interests in very uncertain times for 'them', they are struggling too control the masses  whose votes they so badly desire, drugs legislation can be equally a vote winner and looser, no one who really has a stake wants to be the one too say 'f*ck it lets go take the cash'  maybe one more generation or so before it becomes a reasonable debate here, although the rumblings are already around and have been for some while

Any place that has seen changes in the law and even just more tolerance, well all them places weren't given anything, the dutch really lead the way by simply going ahead and doing it , despite all the risk same world over nobody will give you anything you ask for you have to simply start too take and then meet them somewhere in middle seems to be the emerging pattern

It disgusts me that the plants ever been unlawful, its not like it was made unlawful for a genuine reason, the laws changed nationally in the 1920's , now do we act the way we did then now? the worlds changed a little in that time surely,  are we really that blind too think the ban was for our protection, from what exactly? a product of God/mother nature/pure chance left here  that works and is free and easy too get hold of? good for stress anxiety general well being, used to help with countless other illnesses etc, some say a miracle cure, who knows?

but the reality is they banned it cos of the plastics textile alcohol and emerging pharmaceutical companies, all of which where industries these types heavily invested in at grass roots levels, and have gone onto make billions in over the century that's followed,  and the sham has continued and been adapted to fill privately owned and built prisons, heralding and massive increase in heroin addiction in uk jails,(also worldwide, good for you if you support the Taliban or drug cartels) but on the bright side of it you own shares in said institutions world wide your laughing, business that good offenders cant get out from 5 year sentences, on the downside they cant jail every scrote cos the jails are all full of petty offenders who stuck there on heroin test failures,

then comes the medical side of the argument, tincture used to be used worldwide for everything bit of a cure all, Pharma companies have spent decades studying the plant breaking own its individual compounds and trying to make their own versions , so that they can charge you huge amounts for something you should have for free, all the suffering that people go through all based on the lies and distorted facts produced by very greedy people, who now likely working out a way they can make sure any profit made from legislation will only be going into their pockets, not the people who have kept this plat going and made an industry despite the laws etc

For me the arguments over, the minute the yanks accepted it was not wrong then you just sort of know in time the rest of the world will follow suit, likely as usual we will be last, makes no odds at all too me personally I've always done what I've seen fit, I never seen it as wrong, if I thought I was harming society I would of stopped but I'm not , now half the modern world agrees with me, funny old world innit

Its the cancer side of things that really interests me personally, I think massive progress going to be coming from that really soon

most places we have seen legalisation or even just greater tolerance
