lukey 1,621
That would be for experts to decide but a minimum would be 18 You wouldn't have anywhere near the amount t of illegal dealers since a lot do it to their mates If it's legal all that disappears Then you make penalties a lot harsher for dealers Where it's decriminalised or legal it doesn't suddenly go through the roof in people doing it it stays the same But I agree kids or minors shouldn't get near it It's not going to irradicate the problem but it will lessen it and allocate resources to deal with the remainder. You're all talking sense on this thread, I'm out of likes today though ;-) It's been a very interesting and engaging thread I'll concur! If the gov are the sellers then money will be the main aim just like the wee guy down the road who sells it, do you really think they will try to put young folk of trying it? Will they fuk. The government aren't the experts. If they were we wouldn't have the problem. I'm sure there are plenty of people better qualified to buy/sell/trade pharmaceuticals... Remember those folks that work at the chemists? It's the taxation that the government need to address and that should require it's own laws and regulations so that the money doesn't get spunked on something else. Mate if it was to go ahead here who do you think would be the ones opening shops cafes ect lol
lukey 1,621
Have you ever tried weed Lukey? Never mate, I was too scared of my da to go home stoned. Never really fancied it anyways, sat with mates from a young age watching them getting stoned, spewing, sitting like fukin idiots trying to be cool. I grew up around drug addiction in a really bad area in Glasgow and they ones who ended up junkies were the same ones who sat as teens smoking weed, the ones who were all too worried about trying it because it was wrong all seem to be doing well ect. Maybe that's why I'm so against itFair play mate that post helps me understand your concerns Other than maybe Chris as he seems a clever chap I think most people are really into the idea of it just to make there wee joint at night ect more justified! ChrisJones 7,975
Most of the glamor in it for teens here made towards weed imo comes a lot from the USA, stars like snoop dog wiz khalifa ect all making out that it's cool to smoke weed as much as possible or whenever they want. Is it illegal in the states to smoke? Agreed but why would anyone let a rapper educate their kids? At least not without some form of rebuttal. Saying that Chuck D educated me more on the civil rights movement than anyone at my school ever did! The US is going through a partial legalisation process. Certain states have legalised medicinal use marijuana. Others have gone full recreational. Of those that have they're seeing a huge tax windfall and the law has been written so that much of that money goes back into educations. I've linked to articles from Colorado earlier in this thread. Sorry chap there's loads out there about the harm alcohol does And yes parenting is very much the key I know parents who leave everything to the school Including teaching swimming and if the school doesn't do it they don't get it Society is very much at fault Parents need to be way more active but there are a lot of kids having kids... That's for another thread though! Exactly, my parents were very concerned about what I was up to, they worried, loved & cared & gave me a good grounding of right & wrong. I think that's one of the many reasons why I've never let things slip out of control..... Same here. Despite growing up in a complete shithole. Despite drugs being easier to get than beer, I still managed to not end up a dead junkie in the canal! Mate if it was to go ahead here who do you think would be the ones opening shops cafes ect lol That would depend on the way the law was written. Nothing wrong with private business providing it's tightly monitored. Other than maybe Chris as he seems a clever chap I think most people are really into the idea of it just to make there wee joint at night ect more justified! Nope. Just a concerned citizen.
