shropshire dan 467
Hi all just bought a smk synsg for some ratting and possible rabbits. I've always had tx200s and bsa lightnings so some good quality rifles. I was offered this dirt cheap with scope and bag so decided I'd have it. Will it be good enough for ratting and occasionally rabbiting. It's currently got a bushnell scope on top but planning on putting a photon xt on top. Kind regards Dan 1 Quote Link to post

I've got the X20S in .22 - others have come and gone, but I can't bring myself to part with it, even though the springs broken - gonna have to resurrect it ! A mate gave it a nice camo respray a few months ago and it looks the bizz !! Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Fair play mate. Me and a mate both had the .22 versions years ago and his spring snapped. I've put a titan xs spring on mine and polished all the internals. 1st .177 I've had and it's awesome lol. Quote Link to post

My mainspring snapped and my mate said he'd put a new one in. He put a Titan in and now it makes the most horrific noise....the recoil is so violent that I've stopped using it, for fear of damaging the scope ! Did you shorten the spring or use it as it was ? shropshire dan 467
I used it as it was mate. I used a no. 11 and made sure it was well lubed using Bisley gun grease. The no. 11 spring is for most smk models and stoeger rifles. I used to cut them down but don't bother anymore as I found the no.11 suits the rifle perfect with a good greasing and polishing the piston etc. Mine gives a constant 11.3 ftlb using crossman premier pellets think their 11.7 g Quote Link to post
lllluke1 329
I used a number 5 in mine, don't think I cut it down, can't remember Quote Link to post
