Greyman 28,881
Thatcher had more balls than any man since, and most before, and she's the longest serving for a long time, another like her could be a good thing, especially if she takes on this EU situation in the way Thatcher took on the union's...how can a woman who votes to remain be best for us getting out of Europe?. I,ve just read that the ukip site has crashed, under the weight of Tory defectors, trying to join, so I think she has until 2020, to deliver what's been promised, or there could be another nasty shock for the political elite, I think her premiership will be one of the closest scrutinised ever, fingers crossed

It will be a complete stitch up...a total watered down compromise with Europe...shes an unelected puppet...what we are getting will be an illusion of democracy. shepp 2,285
That'll be Labour out of power for the next 10 years.
shepp 2,285
I liked her emphasis on keeping the union together. If I were Scottish or Irish, the last thing I would want to do now, would be to leave the union and shackel myself to an undemocratic and failing EU. It is early days yet and there will be many bumps in the road, but if May has half the back bone of Thatcher, when dealing with Europe. Then we could be looking at a pretty decent future. Well at least until the mussies outbreed us lol!

Thatcher did better than anybody taking on Europe, she got us a huge rebate. And went along with the drawing up of the Maastricht Treaty which she would have signed if she hadn't been deposed.
