Wish my dogs were as big and hard as Buck ! I know they get everywhere but at the end of the day it's someone's pet

If it's practically feral it's obviously been in your garden annoying your dog and it was recognised by your dog. Silly tart should control her cat, are they using the vets bill to pay for the van as

Maybe i've just got a bad mind, but i don't think the vet charged them anywhere near that. I think they're trying to make a few quid and the RSPCA and police threat is their way of ensuring they get a

bloody hell why didnt you just carry on walking ,? it wasnt on p.p or somebody's garden , cats get every feckin where , my big dog killed couple cats , last one was clamped on his head, he just pushed his head down then bit it and killed it . ok if your dog chased it on p/p then your in the wrong , but if not like with my dog Buck he killed it on waste ground ( common ground) .

So you were walking down the road and a feral cat came steaming at your daughter you dripped the leafs to pick her up and they chased it off while you was shouting them back. Dont think youve done much wrong there. And tell the woman if she wants to call police and rspca so they will come and take you/daughters dogs off her and pts its on her conscience

Ai it is, and if my pet got out and was in an accident I would consider myself responsible for leaving them to get in that situation.

Same with kids and pets, their mind ain't as developed as an adult and doesn't have capacity for complex thoughts about dangers etc, as the adult / owner you should be taking reasonable measures to avoid harm coming to em.

I'd message the owner saying that the bill is very high and to pass you the details as you will be speaking to the vet directly and want a fully itemised bill.

nothing to do with size of dog, whippets and little jacks will kill cats,Buck would only do it quicker because of his size . the cats he as killed have been feral , living on waste tips, woods etc, no different to a fox living in the wild. i would never let him kill a cat that was sombodys pet brought up in a house as a pet, but lets be honest look how any feckin cats are put out at night, to cause havoc at night killing birds, young rabbits etc . a cat can, will feck any dog up with claws and bites , a dog will get infection from there bites far worse than any fox bite, i try to avoid them if i can when out with him .

That's bollocked db, the cops took a terrier off lad up my street for killing a cat under a car, he got dog back 2 days later with no charges pressed, but believe me only a fool would second guess the cops or rspca, no sane person knows what either organisation is gonna do next, like iv said for sake of 2 calls he will know where he stands and exact price of bill. I'd pay bill out of decency but I'd make sure I wasn't being ripped off, and I'm sure Clive will let you know where you stand free of charge over a phone, iv dealt with him before

So the lad got his dog back no charges because the CPS will have advised no legal basis for the case as it wasnt deliberate. May be I am one step ahead as my Daughter is studying to be a Barrister and guess what she is reading up on , the hunting and dangerous dogs act, so I think your talking bollocks. Either the owners will have to bring a private prosecution . The RSPCA are already under extreme pressure over spurious prosecutions and the CEO newly appointed gave a publicised statement that the enthusiasm for prosecutions for other than cruelty is on the wain. The less contact the lad has with the RSPCA the less possibility of problems the maxim no comment is the best policy .. Edited by desertbred

They wouldnt be taking my dog the law is quite simple really as for my attitude if some one tried to have me over for 500 pounds for treatment to a cat with internal injuries that died less than 24 hours later I would be perfectly entitled to my stinking attitude. I can put you in touch with dozens of lads who have used clive reece to their detriment several of whom are on here, who will tell you he couldnt even be arsed turning up for the hearings after they were charged under the Hunting Act think I would sooner take my Daughters advice.

cats n dogs. its the cats fault.

No it's not, it's the dog owners fault for not breaking the dog to cats. Any dog that chases cats is an accident waiting to happen. There are endless possibilities of what could happen, even ending up with lost human life if the cat runs out on a road with the dog chasing it. There is nothing macho about killing cats with dogs.

If you can't break a dog to cats I would seriously suggest you don't have one.
