Making hay round here ( Sussex) ..lots of it .Seems every one has got going at the same time , also noticed a few pigeons coming in on layed barley . Should be into some sport before long ..

Hundred acres of barley sprayed off and disced in, same with a load of wheat. Not sure what that's all about? Not had chance to ask. Make for a decent bit of pigeon shooting though now the spring rape is too tough....

A couple of pals shot over layed barley yesterday and managed just over two hundred ( Kent ) which is the best I've heard this year , also the blacks have found the feeders around the pens which should provide some sport this week ..

So hay and a lot of silage has been cut but the cereals and struggling due a nearly a shower a day there no getting the chance to dry enough to get cut
