Guest pip
No breeding a working pup back to its working parent wouldn t be too close.Simple fact is if these people wheren t dealers they wouldn t be well known. The best dogs are and always have been in the back yards of ordinary terriermen who only have an interest in what the dog does below ground,if and when you crack it and get a nice type that works well too well super but most breed for one or the other.I know personally that a lot of the big named dogs mentioned in that book couldn t find a fox in a shoot, and if it did it would bolt it,the fox bolt the dog that is.Rossettes are an illness.Make your mind up whether you want a looker or a worker and if your decision is the former then donate the workers you have to a terrierman, not a wannabe crufts pansy show pony. DIGZY 4
why do you say that, why do some many people dislike middleton the reason i dislike middleton is because he was on the right track for a good strain of worker when he was digging with frank buck and cyril bray then he seen that the money was in a good show dog then wasted a handy strain of terrier to youre show pish that he still tryes to pass as 100% worker now for daft sums of money . thats just what i think Quote Link to post

Guest tawny
1oo% worker to worker only middleton he f****d up his strain many years ago the same could be said for nuttal to ? mind you i cant talk, i had a good strain here, but somehow f****d that up well and truly no show stuff in them, but out crossed to a shit line. and that was that, "the end" twenty years gone down the pan and yet it was a good line i crosed to i thought, but some times you've got a lot better in your own kennels than a lot of boys got. anyway i got rid of the last dog oyt of that line last week, nothing wrong with her ,but iff they cant carry the line on get shot of them. all im left with is a six month old pup at the mo,, and guess what ???? he is the most ugley dog ive ever owned but who give's a f**k. he's out of a 110 year old strain, woking strain and to be honest at six months old is showing thing's that i diddent see in my old strain for years. fingers crossed i say. the thing is when you got your own line going, pride can sometimes make you turn a blind eye to whats realy going on within the line, and any problems with them will be sent over your shoulder, but you aint only fooling your self, your doing the sme to others. al i can say is iff in dought ,ship them out as ive done.
