I'd get it to a vet if it won't shift in 24 hours, especially if the dogs uncomfortable with it.

Could work its way into the dog. Seen that before where one travelled through the bloodstream, infecting different parts of the dog. It took months, the vet had to wait till it was in a vein near the skin to cut it out.

My dog was like that a few weeks ago so i let him out on the green at the back of the house to get some grass he was like a horse eating it then after about 15 he coughed up everything and was grand im saying it will work for you but give it a try

I would give honey first,for a couple of days. It has antiseptic qualities and you might be suprised. Dont be mean with it and dont let the dog drink for a bit until it gets right down. I would try that twice a day.

Ive stopped a lot of coughs and irritations with it.
