nrat 8
How does the mark 3 collar fair up I have seen posts stating that they are prone to slip off small jills Simon the million dollar question.... i can only speak for my self. i find the mk3 nylon collars great with larger hobs & jills, but sh*te with small jills, thats why i converted my mk3 to the m1 leather collar. some on here do theres up tight that makes it work for them but if i ever trid to tighten mine up, my small jill wouldnt have it.. richie use a leather collar pm me collars2.00 p/p1.50 Quote Link to post

stubby 175
Bump i am still looking for a mk3 cheap if anyone knows of one surely you could have saved up since this topic was first started, I cant see a reason in asking for "a cheap mk3" if someone sold you one for £ and it didnt detect, you'd be moaning about wasting £, most mk3 I have watched on e bay, still fetch near enough the new asking price, so why not just buy new, Quote Link to post
lurcher-lad 2
does the mk3 locator pick up mk1 collars and vice/versa. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
no, a mk1 locator will pick up mk3 collars, but not the other way round Quote Link to post
lurcher-lad 2
cheers stubby i thought that was the right way round but wasent sure. what combination of collars/locators do you use and prefer. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
I use a mk3 with 3 collars (still need a few more), but mk1's work well too, if they are in good condition, sometimes a mk3 can be a bit erratic if the ferret is moving underground, its best use is when the fert has killed and staying put, but once the pinpoint control is mastered, its easy, just search, then locate, Quote Link to post
olliedakennard 0
I bought a mk1 secound hand but it was faulty so i am going to start saving up for the mk3 brand new for next season. Cant wait. all the best ollie Quote Link to post

BULL 97
just bought one so hope they are good, got 2 collers and a terrier strap without the locater as i wont be using ferrets at same time. Quote Link to post
TOMO 26,455
just got a mk one box but the depth sticker on the wheel has worn off. i know you can buy a replacment one from deben. but how do i know if its an 8ft or a 15ft. THE 8 FT BOX AND 15 FT BOX ARE BOTH THE SAME IT IS ONLY THE STICKER ON THE WHEEL , AND THE COLARS THAT MAKE IT EITHER 8 OR 15. IF YOU HAVE COLLARS THAT HAVE 2 BATERIES IN ,THEN YOU HAVE A 15 FOOT CALLAR, SO THEN GET A 15 FOOT STICKER. IF YOUR COLLARS ONLY HAVE 1 BATTERIE THEN 8 FOOT STICKER Quote Link to post
