neems 2,406
And why? My last 2 have been whippet x's,and I love their agility, turn and temperament but they've also cost a lot in vets bills over the years, and the one I have now also has collie and pointer in him too,and is very sensitive and can be hard work (I blame his strange eccentric behaviour on that). So I'll look out for a gundog x or failing that a shepherd x for my next one, because if the dog was a bit easier going and durable I'd get out with it a lot more. 1 Quote Link to post
tb25 4,627
I would like to clone my whippet x...suits me perfectly for the little I do....spot on for filling the pot with a few bunny's and birds.can put in a good shift on the lamp..good around the home..I don't need much more apart from the odd bigger bunny. That's were my pup will take over fingers crossed..maybe even a 14 bull whippet. Quote Link to post

Neal 1,866
After reading the numerous whippet and whippet cross threads on here over the last couple of years I'm considering replacing Scout (my nine year old pure kelpie), when she goes, with a pure whippet or whippet cross...she looks and behaves more like a whippet cross anyway! 2 Quote Link to post

terryd 8,414
The wife said no more dogs once this one is gone but I like having a dog around so will work on her when the time comes. I would go for a whippet or a whippet cross of some sort. I had a little beddy whippet once a real little gem. Pleasure to live with in all areas and bagged plenty of rabbits. I would avoid some with bull in as much as I think the world of my dog and wouldn't part with him for the world he is enthusiastic to say the least lol 1 Quote Link to post
