This country is fukcing disgusting .......

Anniversary today of when Muslims bombed the capital and killed 52 people   Its a shame it seems to have been forgot about by the press

You quote rightly from the dictionary , I quote from how normal people would refer to an event like 7/7 . . 2 people in the street talk about it I'd say TRAGEDY wouldn't be a word used , "That was a

I always remember it. My lad was on a school trip to the museums that day. The wife was hysterical.

Unfortunately the press seem to think a few people bashing a ball round at Wimbledon is more newsworthy. Or is it more PC?

RIP all the innocents who lost their lives.

My Mrs. was a juror that day at Southwark Crown Court, my son rang from Australia and asked what the fcuk was going on in London. Being a miserable fcuker I don't have TV or radio on, so that was the first I heard of it and put the tele on.

Has it really been ignored by the press?

A nice memorial service covered by the media with statements put out by party leaders and other political figures is about what I'd expect for the 11th anniversary of a terrorist attack. You can't expect a massive public display of grief every year, the country needs to move on at some point.

RIP to those who died and my thoughts are with all those still effected by the events of that day.

You're right of course the terrorist attacks of the early 2000s totally changed the way a lot of folk see the world and effected how safe we all feel, for a long time we in the West felt safe and insulated from the horrors of war and those attacks reminded us we're all very vulnerable.

We can't live in fear constantly replaying those events though, at the end of the day the 7/7 bombings were 11 years ago and there's not been a comparable attack on British soil since.

A crime as heinous as that should be remembered even if it was 100 years ago. No-one's saying live in fear of those dogs, but the dead deserve to be remembered.

And just because there hasn't been a comparable attack on British soil since, doesn't mean there won't be.
