chrismdd 787
Bit short of time at the moment so just managed to grab a couple of hours with the pin on Sunday morning. Put the chest waders on and entered the tiny (2m wide) stream out of the mill. Just a single hook and used floating crust and sinking flake trotted down the stream between the beds of streamer weed. Caught half a dozen chub and a small trout. The better chub were around 2 lb each but I did have one the best side of 3 lb but I messed up taking a picture whilst holding the fish and trying to stop the net and rod floating away. So not a spectacular catch but very enjoyable to be in the water with the fish and using the simplest of tackle. There were a few much bigger chub there but they were far too wary to catch on the day. The mill: The pin: A typical chub: A pretty mini trout: An underwater shot: Nice and simple, at peace with the river: The only way to fish these steep banked sections, get in there: 9 Quote Link to post

tomburras 2,730
That's a lovely looking spot, it's suprising what fish streams hold. Very nice indeed. Quote Link to post
