Firearms Renewal

Hello, Just recived a letter that my firearm certificate is up for renewal .I take it .its just a case of downloading and filling out the forms and sending off with photos and payment ? .. will they need to do another inspection. Not that is a problem

Thats what i done and yes they did come round for an inspection.

Thanks for the reply .. dowe loaded the forms .. it's pretty much the same preceding as when I first applied for a firearms certificate

Sometimes they come for an inspection, but not always. They just sent me a letter saying they wouldn't be coming round. And all 4 of my photos back.

I believe you also need letters of confirmation of land to shoot over with suitable clearance for the calibre you possess even on open ticket.

It does seem to be a download and get on with it these days.

 

There are usually guidance notes as well, fill in and supply them with everything they ask for, and as far in advance as sensible.

 

A home visit is very common even on renewal.

Well glad to say I got my renewal through the post the other day .. didn't have an inspection. Even my two referees didn't have a phone call
