Hw97K Muzzle Cap

Hey all, I posted this a while back but I thought I would try again and get some fresh input. When I bought my second hand hw97k it came with an additional silencer fitted, as this make the thing a lot longer than I would like I have taken it off by simply unscrewing it. The problem I have is I don't have the end cap to screw in the place of the silencer, I have contacted hull, chambers Weihrauch And none of them stock it as a part.

Has anyone out there got one for sale or does anyone have any idea where I can get one. Cheers all

Is it a 1/2in. Unf male thread? I'm sure there will be caps to cover it somewhere

Just had a look on chambers they have a good few thread protectors for 1/2inch male unf thread?

Hey and thanks for your reply, the thread on the end of the hw97 is bigger than 1/2 inch, you can get an adaptor to go from hw97 to 1/2 inch so you can install 1/2 inch silencers but they stick out a bit. The original cap is male thread and when in sit flush with the end of the barrel.

Just out of interest... Can I assume you have the half inch UNF adaptor but your after a standard flat muzzle cap for your 97? I have the standard one, but I'm after a half inch UNF thread adaptor... Straight swap... Obvs based on condition. Bang some images up on the thread.

Did you get one on your 97 Mac? When I bought a brand new 77, there was no cap on the end, and never had a mod on it. Get someone to make one, it's only a cut thread with a hole in the middle.

Sorry did reply to Rez but it went through email and didn't come up on here, as mentioned I haven't got a adaptor and the denial thread on the end of the barrel seems to be bigger than 1/2 inch! Does anyone no what size it is.

I think my only option is to get one made, they seem to rarer than hens teeth.

Still have no idea what your on about then. You have a 97. It's doesn't have the standard cap... But a bigger one that's been made custom? Bloody hell, I'll measure mine in the mornin.

Chally, can you put up a picture of your barrel end? To give us some perspective.

And what serial number is it? The early 97s were different.

it would help a hell of a lot to see what we need to help you with and as PW has say,d earlier models were different

 

so we need to know what model it is as say,d bang a pic up son then we can help you

So sorry if I haven't explained this very well. One picture is of the Weihrauch silencer which was fitted to the end of the rifle when I bought it ( in place of the original end cap! ). Second pic is of the end of the rifle barrel with the missing end cap ( the bit I want! ). I have spoke to Weihrauch again this morning, although a language barrier as they are a German company but they did seem to know what I was on about, they have informed me that the end cap thread is M22 x 1mm ?

That is a really unusual thread size. If you can't find the real thing, there are some bodges if you are really desperate.

 

I would be fitting the Tin Bum baffle kit while I was at it. They are about £12 with postage

I use some plugs at work that are m22 x 1.5mm. Black plastic of its any good to you.
