Beautifull sight       Been looking forward to going up the traps like mad today . If at 1pm my boss would have said " you can go home now and check your traps but you wont get paid for the day

Good to hear that you are enjoying your trapping young man,...it really is an absorbing pastime, and the more you do,..the more proficient you should become...but,.beware of following the wrong path,.

Been looking forward to going up the traps like mad today . If at 1pm my boss would have said " you can go home now and check your traps but you wont get paid for the day " id have bit his hand of . Since i got up i wanted to go check the mink trap .

Got there with the kids , had a quick look and seen the trap was sprung so we left it and went to check the squirrell traps . After that i dropped kids of with my mrs down the farm and went back to the mink trap . When i got there the farmers grandson was checking out fencing and he came over to see if id caught anything . He said he could smell the mink before i even opened the raft up . Myself i couldnt really smell anything , maybe its the years of smoking but i couldnt really smell it . When i pulled the cage out i got a small whiff of it but nothing major at all . Didnt notice the smell after id shot it either which i assumed would happen as i thought it would void its sacks when it was dying . Farmers gransdon said it reaked so i gave it a wash in the river to clean the blood off and hopefully a bit of the smell . Reset the trap but forgot to take any bait with me so hopefully just the smell of the mink in there might entice another

To most this is nothing but im pretty extatic if im honest .
