GreyRake 108
Just north of Coldstream, imagine a triangle between Simprim, Swinton and Swintonmill... and the surrounding area. They say they've got a rabbit problem. Ive not looked personally but your welcome to check it out. I hate hedgerows haha, all yours.... or the local ferreter who sees this first I guess. To the north of Hume castle is also a nice whin bush site but good luck with those owners Thats all im dishing out for now. But yeah, borders is many empty holes, small pockets and"owned by an estate". Can waste days of fuel asking. Edited July 10, 2016 by GreyRake 1 Quote Link to post

You would be lucky to see a rabbit if you walked all day in Hawick. Unless it's changed dramatically since I was last up there. 1 Quote Link to post

peeps_76 17
we don't have the numbers we used to but our ground is high up in the borders this area was hit hard with snow one winter after another a few years ago the rabbits havn't recovered but as we drive to it we often can count up to fifty bunnies in the school playing fields that are at a lower level. I think its a local thing not all areas of the borders are over run with rabbits but sum are i have perm up in north of scotland in highlands and fairly high up. ther was massive population of bunnies we were hitting them hard all year with shooting trapping snaring ferreting and the winters were very hard on them tto and the bunnies are still there but nothing like the numbers and they have not returned to big numbers since. 1 Quote Link to post
