The brindle ones are faster if the stripes go from left to right if they go from right to left or vertical, well to much resistance which encourages the opposite effect.

Well dickhead's are diagonal so he's even more aerodynamic

Ah well there is your problem with indiscipline , diagonal stripes , thats why brindle isnt wanted in salukis, Suprised Tomo didnt advise you about diagonal stripes.

Paint or hair dye the brightest colour you can get. shaving may enhance the problem, as the stripes may be pigmented onto the skin itself if thats the case steelies is the only solution for disciplinary problems.

I would say the brindle comes from the greyhound side

Think Bird is correct the brindle more likely to be from a bull breed either a bulldog or bull mastiff as during the 1800,s these breeds were quiet racey and not the show ring and bling dogs about today.
