rippem 455
I would use chopped up hot dogs around the house as you tell it to come, and when it does give it a small piece and tell him good boy..when hes coming ba k in the house, then get a long line and take him out to the yard and do the same. After repetition he should run back thinking he's getting a treat. And then slow wean the treat away. 1 Quote Link to post
stop.end 4,082
was it you who just purchased the wee jagd pup recently? If it was he's a nice pup I don't know much about them, the little I know of them they seem a highly strung sort so I would suggest the long lead method.... buy a 50 foot long lead and take him to the field with livestock where he will be spending most of his life if he's for work twice even 3 times a day even if its only for 10 mins hes a pup so long strenuous walks makes them worse in my opinion... let him walk 10 foot in front call his name if he doesn't respond give him a quick check and bring him back... don't let him out the 10 foot for 10 mins or so if he trys to get in front check him with his name again out loud in a stern tone...then let him out the 10 foot let him explore call his name and if he doesn't respond check him... and so on for a long time till he's out the 50 foot and coming back to his name with a stern call... and hopefully you will have him some what sensible if you just stick with him... Best of luck with him. 1 Quote Link to post
